Eileen Anderson warmly invites you to two events organised in support of our Conservation Appeal.

After such a hot and dry summer, we are pleased to see the rain. With the ground hard and cracked we provided fresh water and some temporary support feeding for the mammals in the Copes.  We are now hoping that it will not get too cold, too soon because we are delighted to tell you about two events in the Copse in the lead up to year-end.

Event 1: Words from the Wild Autumn Woods - LAST FEW PLACES
Following the success of our trial event earlier this year, we would love you to come and join us in the Copse for another day of writing. Informal, fun, and time to spend with friends in the wildness of the Copse.
No experience is needed – I will offer prompts and ideas to help get the words out and onto paper or laptop.  If you already write, then spend the day somewhere in the Copse that pleases you, whilst taking the opportunity to join us for tea, coffee, and cake.

The topic for the day is Badger, Fox, Badger, and I will offer prompts around this. You can create poetry, (it doesn’t have to rhyme!)  or short stories or just fragments of writing. There will be no pressure to share what you have written – although some of you may like to and are welcome to do so. Your decision.

Date: Saturday 8th November
Time: Setting up at 09:30 for a 10:00 start,  until around 15:30
We are holding the cost at £20 per head to include tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and cake.
More details will be provided on booking
RSVP to  secure one of the few remaining places

Event 2: Mince Pies in the Copse
On Sunday 14th December  between 11:00 and 14:00

An really popular event last year, when we enjoyed beautiful sunshine in which to have hot drinks and mince pies (vegan). There was time to chat, to look round the Copse with most of the leaves fallen and the architecture of our wonderful trees revealed.  There will probably be the chance to purchase a few last-minute Christmas gifts, and hopefully we can pick some Holly and Ivy.

This event is free of charge, and is a drop-in and see us invitation. Donations welcome!

RSVP so that there are enough mince pies!
